The inquisitor Roche and the prince-electors concoct a nefarious plot to make Col a martyr, but their plans fall to utter ruin when Diana drops out of the sky to help. Word of the Twilight Cardinal's triumphant return spreads throughout the empire, and people begin to swarm Wobern hoping for a glance at the fabled figure. Col isn't out of the woods just yet, though, because the Twilight Cardinal is about to fall in assassin's crosshairs yet again!
